Sarasota Memorial’s reputation as a referral center for challenging shoulder, arm, forearm, wrist and hand cases has been built on the technical skills of our orthopedic team and success at treating injuries and conditions others deem irreparable.
“Successful outcomes are a combination of technical expertise, clinical support and compassionate care. Our patients are fortunate to receive all three at Sarasota Memorial,” explains Brian A. Schofield, MD, a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon.
Working in close collaboration with specialists in neurology, rheumatology, physical medicine and rehabilitation, Dr. Schofield helps provide evaluation, treatment and rehabilitative care for a wide variety of disorders, including arthritis, tendon and nerve injuries, tumors, ligament, muscle and rotator cuff tears, complex fractures and prior surgical failures.
He is an assistant clinical professor with the Florida State College of Medicine and serves as a team physician for the Baltimore Orioles.
